Strut Access

How do you access the struts for the convertible lid cover? There is a metal housing around where the struts are and I don't see how to remove them.

No. The lid that covers the convertible top.

Thanks. The problem I have is I cannot access the rear of the strut in the trunk because there is a metal housing that prevents access.
