The paranoia of people hitting my car with their door (for the a**holes that park next to me even though its very far)

The crazy feeling that it has to be clean to be driven

Getting in and out...

The C7 "Haters"

1. the water that leaks from the mirrors after a wash !!!!!!
2. The long walks and paranoia that every one spoke of
3. The snobby looks I get from chicks...like I think im the sh*t...just cuz i have a nice car
4. The will power it takes to NOT press the gas pedal to the floor....ugh

I'm 71, have zero complaints re getting in and out of the car. I'm not a clean fanatic. I park the car wherever there's a space....

I've got 600K miles in Corvettes in the past 23 years. Daily drivers all.

I resolved the seat bottom problem for $65 at a custom trim shop.

For heaven's sake, these are cars, not some kind of holy relic or exotic being or entity... they're massed produced production-line things that are replaceable...

People drive MBs, BMWs, Audis, Jags, etc.... and treat them like cars....not fretting whether the neighbor's car passes gas near their well-shined fenders or spotless wheels...

I've got 102,000 on this car, looking forward to the next 100K miles....:party:

Leaving on a 5,000 miles road trip February 1. Will park it in hotel parking lots, Costco, Walmart.... wherever...

Oh, and if I spot you along the way, no matter what generation Vette you're in - no matter how far out at the end of the universe you've parked I'll wave! :yesnod:

No joke. My 2013 coupe is not even three months old and I can feel the bottom cushion sinking in.

the cringe of hearing gravel bounce off the sides and always checking for chips
parking as far away for the door dingers I always deal with in my beater car
spending money on mods and debating whether it should be spent on something else
the other C6 guys who say Carlisle Blue is another color on the gay rainbow

I would miss the grin I have every time I look at and drive it...

Unless I missed it I can't believe I haven't read the dreaded chin scrape, especially if you have the carbon splitter! P.S. mine is flawless and it does take focus to keep it that way!

Same here (I was used to a Caddy) plus always having to watch how close I park so the front end doesn't touch.

I agree with most of this except the replaceable part. Some of us don't have bottomless pockets to just go out and get another one. That's why I think some of us baby them more than others. JMO

The removable roof panel. I don't ever take it off. Wish chevy gave the option to have the non-removable like the Z cars.

The quality of the cheap plastic interior.

Brake dust? I don't have a problem with that whatsoever. In fact, that is the main thing that I miss least about giving up my BMW 535i. What I would miss least is this joke of a navigation system. Good thing I wasn't basing my decision to insist on a 2LT on the fact that I wanted navigation. My TomTom with lifetime (Houston rush hour!) traffic and maps is a Godsend. :thumbs:

Other than that, I have nothing but love for my baby!

Get ceramic brake pads and solve your problem.

I dont'get it. I actually find the Bose system (at least the one in my car) to be better than any upgraded stereo systems I've had in recent cars. Better that the Mustang GT Shaker system, and better than the BMW Logic 7 system. I like my music loud, and the Bose is damn good in my book...at least the sound. The head unit leaves a lot to be desired, however.

The lack of a cancel button for cruise control on that archaic "GM stalk" design. :D

Tap the emergency brake handle (up) very lightly... will shut the cruise off without cancelling the settings... don't have to tap the foot brake or anything... the EB is electronic as is the cruise... interrupts it. It's the only way I generally interrupt the cruise function as I drive with it most of the time.....

Good to know. Funny thing is I do not even know if my cruise works. 94,000 miles and have never turned it on.:lol:

Back to the OP's question, I guess the thing I would miss the least is dusting off the rear end with my California duster, and cleaning the polished chrome exhaust tips with chrome cleaner, fairly often. Otherwise, I've avoided or eliminated most aggravations many C6 owners endure. :thumbs:

That trip to the gas station, where I usually get a compliment on the color/condition. Although I really do it for me, it makes the detailing work even more worth while.

Don't want to lose the performance friction material on the pads otherwise I would.

The door handle/pad came off the door on me once as I was opening the door, I looked pretty classy standing there with that WTF? look on my face.

Door hinges made out of stamped steel? (feeling the door drop just that little bit as I open it because of them will not be missed)

Holding the key fob, 'Trunk Open' No really, trunk open, OK, I wedged a finger in there, hold 'trunk open' ONE MORE TIME!!! Got it.

Then there's just that whole 'Corvette owner' gammut of social stuff you gotta deal with. Other cars tryin to race, co-workers can't stop bringing up Corvette stuff, people acting like me owning a Corvette says a lot about me, but them owning a Tahoe says nothing about them.

Most of these posts are valid reasons but for me the one thing I would miss the LEAST is waiting for the next group cruise/road trip. I would miss everything about my Vette but waiting to drive it would be missed the least.

Feeling the compulsion to dust daily, wash weekly (almost), and go out of my way to peek at it everyday while at work!
