Wanted z51 steering rack 93-96
 

Looking for z-51 steering rack that will fit my 96..zip does not have them anymore .. Rebuild used in good shape.i think if i find a used one can have it rebuilt.. I think 92-96 will work...

I have one froma a 93 ZR1 it' needs rebuilt ..

I don't have clue if a ZR-1 wil fit my 96 ??? and do you know if it's a 2.5 0r 2.1/4???

I'm pretty sure it's a 2.5 . the ZR1 was built for High speeds and ibelieve they put 2.5 turn. they didn't want the car to be too responsive at High speeds.
However it is from a Z51 suspension. with FX-3 suspension.

88-96 should work for you. 84-84 will not.

Called Lone State Clapers ,they are the people that rebuild most of the racks and other C-4 corvette parts for the big Corvette parts people and talked to them , this is what they said : All racks 93 -96 Z-51 or ZR-1 all same.. The older ones 85-87 some had Sport steering Z-51 ones had the sport deal ,will not fit my 96.. I have been trying to find out the real deal and this is all I got ..Thanks I just need more info... I don't want to but the same thing I have...

UP DATE: After calling and calling I found one a 2.0 Steering rack to fit my 96 ..$385.00 with core $265.00 rebuilt 1 year waty. It's at Califoria Axil Supply I know nothing about them. 714-486-9434 and they are on We-Bay also.. I am going to buy one I'll see if it will work???? I checked mine.... Base 96 LT-4 2.5 It's slow to turn..I rather have a 2.3 My 95 RPO ZO-7 has has 2.3 love it..O-Well get what I can... I just glad to fine anything for the thing,Parts hard to come by...Good Parts..Thanks for your help...
