If you are buying a c7, what car are you coming from?

I'd like to know what cars people are coming from that they are willing to give up for the base c7. Trying to decide if it is worth for me to trade my car for this one or wait for a better version.

C6 Z06. But I'm not jumping ship on it just yet. I am waiting for the Z car (s), L88 or whatever they call it to come out. I like the look of the C7 but I need to see something that outperforms what I have before I would consider a C7.

keeping my 94 ZR-1... just going to be adding a 7th gen..

2009 C6 coupe.

zhopper05 02-12-2013 09:22 AM

C6 Z06 (LPE 630 HP). I have a deposit on one (will order a Z51) which I will most likely hand down to either my wife of son when the high performance version is out.

bigdog1250 02-12-2013 09:24 AM

370z, but might wait for the high performance Z version.

Bill17601 02-12-2013 09:25 AM

C5 convertible Z51 with an LS3.

Thinking of selling my 69 Tri Power convertible for new C7 3LT.

C7envy 02-12-2013 09:35 AM

Hmmm so not many with high performance cars are willing to trade for a z51 c7 lol.

WLDvette13 02-12-2013 09:37 AM

Just adding the C7 to the fleet. '05 Mustang GT vert, '12 Ford Raptor and '13 Grand Sport Vert.

talon90 02-12-2013 10:15 AM

2005 Precision Red Corvette coupe. 1SB (3LT equivalent from 2005), Magnetic Ride Control, navigation. The only difficulty for me is giving up the Precision Red.

Welcome to the club! That's exciting news. Just be VERY careful the first time you put your right foot down. Things will be different.

Haha Yes! Very good advice. Rented a couple of ZHZs before--After a week long tour of Maui in a vette, totally changed the wife's opinion. Best anniversary ever!

I'm 'probably' going to sell one of my '13 GT500's before taking delivery of the C7, which I don't think will happen until Q4 this year, but am still considering selling a few of my track cars and may end up keeping both.
I'll probably decide in the spring.

coming from

I have a 2006 C 6 Monterrey Red DD w/ 95,000 miles, and if I like the green color I'll get a C 7 by next summer for the caravan and my 50th high school reunion in Midwest City Oklahoma. Good reason yes?

Matt26 02-12-2013 10:43 AM

2011 Infiniti G37 Sport Coupe

BlueOx 02-12-2013 10:45 AM

IF I do it, I'd be selling my '05 vert or pass that one on to one of my kids and just buy it outright.

rexracerx9 02-12-2013 10:48 AM

Add the C7 or sell the '09 911 C4S.
