People have to learn how to do their jobs!
Went to the tire shop for a very slow leak. First the tech said he couldnt lift the car without breaking the rocker panel. So I got on my hands and knees on his oily disgusting floor and jacked the car up myself. Normally I wouldnt care but getting dirty on a work day and being stuck in my oil stained jeans for another 4 hours kinda sucks. Next we find to very small nails in the tire. Ok so now he comes and tells me that he doesnt see a leak after pulling the nails. Really man you pulled two nails and dont see a leak, and im losing air daily? Getting a little pissed off at this point I took the soap and water bottle out of his hand and sprayed the tire. No less than 2 seconds later I saw bubbles. He then proceeded to plug the tire which was the one thing he actually did without my help. Paid still gave him a tip and got out of there. I really dont get why some people take physical labor jobs but are to lazy or stupid to actually do the work. Anyway I feel better after this little rant. Thanks for listening lol.

did you go to GM or some random tire shop?
I found out alot of people are scared of the Z06 rear rim and run flats |
Was probably a chop shop not a tire shop:lol:
You were probably like the Griswalds in Germany at what they thought was their relatives house....:woohoo: |
Very reputable tire shop suprisingly

I wouldnt expect a GM garage to be any better these days.
Sorry you had to show him how to jack up the car and where the leak was. Its almost as if people take no pride in their work. |
A better phrase is "I have to teach people to do their jobs". Run into that at work.

I plugged 2 of my old G/Y RF's but I knew I'd be getting new tires soon, are you comfortable with plugging the tires? Mine never leaked but just wondering....

Had a nail puncture fixed in my 05 1 wek after i got it not knowing about the warranty that would have fixed it or replaced it free. They used a floor jack, pulled the nail, patched or plugged it and done.Worked fine for the 2 1/2 years I had the car...and yea,Vettes intimidate people as it is...nevermind if they're not good at what they do.

Hi Sal, you need to get a couple of jacking pucks.

the age of computer has taught too many people ot rely on it. many, many jobs go unfilled due to not beign able to find good help with some ability. Most of us grew up being taught how to use tools, maybe change oil or a flat tire. that doesnt happen today, rather they attitude is "call the guy". We are running out of guys to call.

Can't be a reputable tire shop because good tire makers no longer recommend plugging a tire.
|
At least he knew about the rocker issues.
