Preowned Ariel Atom II supercar, 1325 pounds, with 230 Horsepower 2.0 liter K20A Honda engine, over 8,000 RPM!, and close-ratio six-speed, this car was over $80,000.00 new, now priced at $54,590.00, or $49,980, depending on wheel/tire combo, and spare parts included. This fantastic sports car has been personally prepared by, and offered for sale by, Eddie Hill, top fuel dragracing champion on land and water. Has already been street registered and driven. Call or email for lots more pictures and information, or appointment to see the car. I will consider trade-ins of motorcycles, Corvettes, and possibly a 2006 or newer 30 to 34 foot motorhome.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks, Robert.

If my St. Jude donations have not arrived, they should be shortly. I signed a knife and a dragster and gave them to my parts dept. to mail a couple days ago.

And thank you again for the work you do to help the kids.

Here is a thought- how about offering a 0 to 100 to 0 ride as a passenger in this Atom, or my 2012 supercharged 300 HP one that I used to win the 25th Annual Run'N'Gun in Oct. 2012, as an added incentive with each item. Probably not much more than a 10 or 11 second ride, but huge fun! But they gotta come to Wichita Falls to claim the ride.

Here is information on a used Ariel Atom II that I have here for sale now. It has the normally aspirated Honda K20A engine. I have personally serviced, detailed, done a nut and bolt check, and driven the car several times -- and I like it a lot. As you can see on the attachment, it has a huge list of high-priced and highly desirable options, especially for track use.

This is an excellent car, just like it is right now, and if later you wanted to take this unsupercharged engine and make a super horsepower road racer out of it, ( and there are a lot of upgrades/modifications available for Honda engines) it already has all the wheel/tire, suspension, brake, and upright/bearing upgrades to handle high-HP track use, and a very capable data recorder to help maximize your track performance.

It also has the full lighting setup on it, with headlights with high and low beam, running or marker lights, turn signals, brake lights, emergency flashers, and horn, and has been registered and street driven.

This car has the highly desirable JDM (Japanese Domestic Model) Honda K20 A2 Type R engine that came from Honda with high rpm variable camshaft timing, specially cast smooth cylinder head ports, factory-deleted balance shafts (for safer high rpm operation, and reduced internal drag and inertia), and many other upgrades. If you are not already familiar with this very special engine, check it out on Wikipedia, which shows:

Compression ratio of 11:1, max horsepower at 7000 RPM, max torque at 5000 rpm, i-VTEC engagement at 5800 rpm, red line 8300 rpm.

This engine is no longer available at any price in any model -- Honda is “going green”.

This car is equipped with the Honda close-ratio six-speed transaxle with the heavy-duty limited slip differential that works great on the road race courses. If you shift at 8100-8300 rpm, the engine never drops down out of the sweet range of the power band.

Upgrades on this car:

Ceramic coated stainless steel header and exhaust 835.00

Catalytic converter test pipe 125.00

Race brake package - Alcon front calipers, Wilwood rear calipers 2,700.00

Koni two-way adjustable race dampers 3,300.00

Race spring kit 605.00

Quick release steering wheel 170.00

Dymag real magnesium wheels, 15” front and 16” rear 4,275.00

Roll protection bar 1,080.00

Remote brake bias adjuster 200.00

Front and rear towing eyes 180.00

SPA Microdash data logger carbon fiber dash 3,950.00

This dash display and data logger has programmable parameters and shift lights.

It can display rpm, distance, speed, fuel level, oil temp, coolant temp, oil pressure.

Twin bubble windscreen tinted Lexan 350.00

Carbon fiber fenders (custom longer than standard) 1,500.00

Stainless steel hardware 725.00

3” competition six-point belts 312.00

Corner weight balanced and race alignment 687.00

Palatov Motorsports heavy duty CNC machined aluminum alloy rear uprights with

Porsche 911 Turbo sealed bearings 1756.00

4130 chrome moly air foil wishbones (suspension A frames), lighter and stronger

than standard A frames, and much cooler looking, like an Indy car 4,205.00

Lighting kit, includes high and low beam headlights, marker lights, turn signals, hazard

flashers, brake lights, and switches (listed on current price as “Road Race Lighting

Kit”); these lights are necessary for street use 1,358.00

Race grade rod ends 1,746.00

Total price for the above listed upgrades $30,059.00

Spares also included with car (not yet priced):

Race tire upgrade - Hoosier A6 fronts and Kumho V-710 rears, both DOT marked

Fuel tank modification (increased capacity)

Reverse gear lock-out solenoid to prevent reverse selection at more than 1000 rpm

Hondata KPro programmable ECU

Custom dash switch gear

Air-fuel ratio gauge with additional O2 sensor

Hand brake (parking brake)

Extra pair of suspension springs

Brake pads

Very nice assortment of stainless steel nuts and bolts, washers

Spare heim joints, including large 5/8 suspension joints, pushrod heims, spindle/axle bearings

Alternator belt

Dzus fasteners

Brake line fittings

Exhaust gasket

Light bulbs

Price of the car with all the above upgrades, modifications, and spares $54,590.00

I would consider trade-ins of motorcycles or Late model Corvettes.

Thanks for looking, and if this preowned car or a new 2013 model is of interest to you, I have many more pictures, and will be glad to answer any questions, or demonstrate the car by appointment.

Very fast, reliable, and extremely low operating cost! Hey, with only 1325 or so pounds to pull around, everything lasts accordingly.

Looks great! Wish I had the money for it. I've always loved the Ariel Atom and I hope to go out to VIR and do the Ariel Atom Driving Experience. I'd say that'd be a good graduation gift to myself.

I plan to have my 2012 demonstrator/company car, (shown in the post above with #9 on the wing), at Eagles Canyon Raceway 13 miles northeast of Decatur, Texas, on hwy 51-- tomorrow, May 11.

It is a real eye-opener to see how much quicker these Ariel Atoms are than the other street driven cars, under the same conditions.

No charge to come watch.

Here is a link to Eagles Canyon.
