Would you get a tax break on the new car price minus the trade in? If so you might be better off taking that trade offer. Wish it was a manual transmission, I'd be giving you a call if it was.

slamminc6 05-03-2013 05:41 AM

that's what the total is with the tax break added in.

My feedback, since you asked for it, would be that if it was my car I think I would jump on the dealer trade in value, seems pretty generous for a nearly 6 year old coupe.

I know, however they lied. F'in dealers. They said Kelly blue book is a scam. i'll just wait to give it a good home:D

That's the way to do it. Dealers would not treat the cars with the same respect as private owners do.

The ironic part is that private owners still vouch for kbb as a measurement guide. Edmunds.com contains accurate measurement guides based on real life statistics.

That is very true. KBB is owned by AutoTrader and from what I see they run about 10-15% high and must be basing their valuations on what people are asking and not what they are selling for. If you notice dealers always advertise how many thousands of dollars below KBB there car is priced at.

As posted above Edmunds.com is far more accurate, comprehensive and current than KBB or NADA.
