And they said it didn't hurt rearward visibility.
I couldn't look through the rear window without getting a feeling of tunnel vision.
Thank God for back-up cameras.

I'd get used to it. That interior looks like hot secks. Interesting though that you can't see the rear quarter glass.

Put one of those truck signs on your rear that says "if you cannot see my side mirror, I cannot see you".

It should come standard with a Blind Spot Detection system.

Seriously though, I drive with my mirrors. All new cars rear visability sucks.

You are just going to have to learn how to set your rearview mirrors correctly. For over 30 years I survived in a C-2 coupe with only one rearview mirror on the outside and never hit anybody.

Adjust the side mirrors properly. Not pointing to the rear like 90% of drivers on the road do. :shrug:

It is better than my C5 vert with the top up. A back up camera will alleviate the problem nicely in the C7.

You are going to love that backup camera if it's as good as the one on my SUV....it's all about what shows up on your display. Now if the OEMs would just let it be optionally active while driving forward, it would be even cooler. Best invention since the condom...:D

As usual, people jump to conclusions.

If you look carefully, you will see that the camera is in the center of the car, not where the driver's head is. The change in perspective will be much different from that angle and with your head farther back. The fish eye camera lens also distorting the image making the rear look very far back.

However, the rear 3/4 view will not be great.
