My new matte black GS stripes on my black Z -->
 

My first "ricer" mod ever on a car, I decided to try something subtle w/ my Z06. A set of matte black GS stripes from CorvetteMods on both driver and passenger sides. Figured it would be unique (as far as GS stripes go...) but not too glaring or out of place.

I had a hard time coming up with exactly where to position them, this seems maybe a little further back toward the door than some others have placed them, but this seemed about where the rounded cut on the bottom of the rear stripe lined up best w/ the curve of the wheelwell. The front stripes seem to be straight cut on both ends and intended to be trimmed both to match the wheelwell and the top of the fender/hood opening, so they weren't much help in proper placement...

I used a strip of 3/4" I think masking tape as a spacer between each stripe to get them aligned/spaced out easily. That worked great, I'm happy with placement.

Anyway, I dig it overall. Car is dirty, but:

Don't let any "The C5 never had a Grand Sport model" detractors get to you. Fender stripes and Grand Sport stripes are not the same thing.

I also saw a black C6Z with ghost gray stripes down the middle and over the roof and it also looked great!

Funny, because I'm thinking how great these gunmetal gray wheels would look matched up with those stripes on a black C5Z.
