Help. I drive to fast and agressive

I have owned 3 daily driver Corvettes over the years. All were modded. Never wrecked or caused a wreck. I find it is too easy to go faster, around slower, or lane change quicker than 99% of the cars out on the road. I try too relax and drive with traffic, play music, etc... Need some advice on avoiding the urge to drive fast and aggressive.

Get a few tickets....that'll cool your jets.

Get enough of them and you'll never be able to have a license without a mortgage to pay the fee for one.

:iagree: That or (a) get a car with a lot less HP or (b) use some common sense when behind the wheel of your Corvette and drive sensibly. If you want to go fast and drive aggressively, take it to the track where it is under a controlled environment.

Driving fast and aggressive on a public road - only a matter of time till your luck runs out on not having/causing an accident.

But good luck in whatever you do - hope it works.

That is sometimes debatable with some of the people who are allowed on the track.

When I grew up, I realized I did not have to prove anything to any body. When I grew up I also realized that driving aggressively could seriously hurt someone, including myself.
I think for those who drive aggressively , its an ego thing, or a size thing, or the lack there of.
Im just sayin

Start taking a mild dose of Valium, and avoid fist pumping music for starters.

I'm more responsible than average but it is a challenge to not drive the car the way it was built to be driven.

The best piece of safety equipment is a rear view mirror with a Cop in it!

LOL, a few tickets and insurance premiums that are out of this world or a good beating by some red neck that takes offence to your driving style...its all out there just waiting for you! Good luck...lol.

I drive a truck for a living. I must behave or loose my way to pay for my Vettes. It's not easy but I do it. If I can do it anyone can.

HPDE.

After you do that a few times anything you do on the street will seem tame and boring. After you've done 150, the difference between going 65 or 85 isn't going to move your excitement meter at all.

Move to West Texas - no rush to get to the next pothole, dip or red light. :ack:

OKZ06 05-21-2013 11:34 PM

Take it to a roadcourse and get your ass handed to you by cars that would never be able to keep up to you in a strait line.

When on the highway, use the cruise control and keep your right foot up.
