What is this tube?
I pulled a couple codes from my car, a 1996 LT4. One of the codes was P1441. While searching for the location of the vapour cannister (which I've seen mentioned as being in the engine bay and by the fuel tank), I came across this open line in my engine bay, circled in the picture:

It is a coolant line. A PO has performed a throttle body bypass. As for capping it, there is no need except aesthetics.

It looks like someone did the TB coolant bypass it's common and wont hurt a thing.

For knowledge's sake, what does the throttle body bypass consist of and why do people do it?

You can cap them off with some like these from any auto parts store. :thumbs:
