Headlight Failure
 

My passenger headlight is not working properly,
It flickers for a bit then goes out.. sometime it will stay on for a few seconds then flicker again and go out.


My guess is the ballast.

Any ideas? I live in canada and the dealer wants $600 for a new one!

Check to see if the relay is loose.

relay is tight, I also tried a new one with no success.

Can you swap the bulbs from side to side to at least remove that variable?

There is an NHTSA investigation on headlamp failure but it's usually on both.

I switched bulbs from side to side and the problem stays with the passenger side..
I guess i need to go buy a ballast, and pull the front bumper off to change it.

What a pain!
