Traffic jam on Swiss Autobahn! (Picture heavy)

So I had to deliver a Laptop to a customer... on the way home I heard of a traffic jam on the short route. I decided to take the alternative way...
Here's some pics of what I had to go throug..

The alternative Route was the Grimsel Pass

The Pass was just opened the other day, so there was still some snow around...

How on earth did you have the top down with snow on the ground? Cool pics, but you must have been freezing.

It was about 86 degrees. Last X-mas I drove to work (top down) at 14 :-)
Hey... If you buy a convertible you have to drive top down :-)

,,,,well there ya go.....it doesn't matter where you photograph a Vette, it always come out a beauty.

OBTW.....top down...too cold..? it's only cold in the snow...with that bright sun it was probably a nice drive. Just have to watch for the occasional slick spots.

Grimsel Pass looks like it would give the Tail of the Dragon some competition.

As my handle name indicates, I grew up right next to beautiful Switzerland, in another big cheese capital of the world. With the right kind of bread, I could live on that stuff alone.... Makes your invite even more tempting! Not to mention that I seriously miss the skiing.

Beautiful pictures. I always loved driving around Switzerland. I think I went over Grimsel Pass.

When you said Swiss traffic jam I was picturing one of the few Stau jams I saw when I was in Germany. I also got to spend a night in the Ardennes in Belgium because the truck drivers couldn't make it up the hill in the snow and decided they should block everyone else till the morning.
