Having trouble installing HP Tuners

Had this before once but did something and got it working. I have a new desktop and laptop. Tried to install HP Tuners and neither one would "see the tuner" I looked through the HP Forum and saw about the A and B driver/channel installation in the device driver section but everything I have tried has failed.

I have tried the original disk (had to install framework again) to no avail. Tried the latest download from HP and can't seem to get the drivers installed. They will not install on their own.

Any suggestions?

No error messages until I fire up Tuners software then it says "can't find device".

From HP Forums, I checked the drivers in device managers and they are not there.

I actually had tried that before with no luck. I apparently did it wrong. Can you elaborate or is the process explained in one of the links you provided? I may have to stay up a little longer now to try this.

Had a wild hair to try this tonight. Luck was on my side as the drivers updated without a problem. What a PITA it was in the past...

Thanks for your help. I can tune again. :)

Yeah microsoft recently integrated our drivers into their automatic updates so as long as you have automatic updates turned on the drivers should, now, automatically install. No downloading drivers from us, no control panel modification, no nada, just plug it in and go :)
