Caddy rear view-on star mirror with backup camera

Has anyone crossed over a Caddy rear view-on star/auto-dimming mirror with backup camera to a C6?

Seems it ought to be doable, but I am asking folks with better knowledge/

Thanks.

I just went out to the garage and took a good look at my CTS. It appears that it would be doable. The only issue is how the camera/mirror are activated (juice from the reverse lights, shifter or puter). I love my camera but in a little over a year and 7,500 miles it's still hard to really trust.

I agree. I have a CTS as well, and it looks like it would work fine. By the way.............you can't see jack **** out of the rear window of the CTS. Don't know what I'd do without that camera!

If you have a coupe I can understand. I have a sedan and it's not too bad. What I can't get used to is the mirror that keeps me distracted from the screen. :crazy2:

IIRC, someone posted the story a year or two ago about installing a Camaro mirror with the screen for a camera, in a C6. It wasn't dead-nuts simple, but not too complicated.
