See This C7 At Bloomington made me change Color!

This C7 stopped me in my tracks Friday morning at Bloomington....I was going to order red/red/chrome....but after staring at this coupe several different times I changed my mind on the exterior color and interior color as well as the wheels! This Corvette is a stunner! Great job Corvette Team.

I ordered red/red/ chrome 3lt also. This was my 2nd choice because I had an 08 CRM vert. After seeing your pics I am back on the fence. This color combo looks great.

very ferrari-esc with the tan inside and love the 3LT with it on the dash...... looks good! Certainly can't go wrong with that car!

I had not considered that until I saw this picture....stunning.

Stunning images, love the color, unfortunately were limited to only 10 cars this year...

I was the same way....I would have never considered this combination from a photo, but I was absolutely mesmerized as well as stunned when I saw it early Friday morning.

Great looking CR with Kalahari.

I Like this color combo a lot, but the only thing i would change is the brake caliper color. The red looks too much. The black calipers will look better.

I agree... on CR, the red calipers don't match. The red calipers go very well with TR but not so much CR.

Thanks for the pictures and your comments/opinions in your post. I placed my deposit 5 long weeks ago. Spent hours and hours on this forum and other sites learning about Corvettes and C7s (this is my first Corvette and this morning i sat in a new C6 at the dealership - first time I have ever been in a Corvette). I am retired so I was able to go at the task of selecting what my car and what options it will have basically 24/7. All done, finished, satisfied and absolutely convinced that i have exactly what i want until...

YOU POSTED!!! I always associate red with Ferrari and British Racing Green with British cars (duh). My 1963 Austin Healey 3000 was BRG. But after hearing your comments I am seriously considering changing colors. I really like the Kalahari interior and I have a 3LT Kalahari interior ordered but with Cyber Grey Metallic exterior. At least by being #8 of 10 coupes at my dealership, I can still change my mind.

Signed,
Old and confused

Torch red is too "orange." Crystal red is much nicer imo. Good choice.

Dave@Ciocca 07-01-2013 04:11 PM

Is that Kalarhi or Brownstone on that Crystal Red car? I'm thinking it's Kalahari but I wanted to make sure. I actually have some clients I want to show that car to.

it looks nothing like Brownstone to me.

(maybe adjust your monitor? :D )

+1, black would be a better choice IMO

There clearly is more orange in Torch Red but it is far from orange IMO and in natural light in most pictures looks very red. I like Crystal Red for sure but it is a much more mature and sophisticated look than TR IMO. If you want more race and sport oriented and not as sophisticated, then TR might be a better choice. If I wanted a slightly more understated look (note the word "slightly" :)), CR is a better choice.

Bottom line is there is NO bad choice here and it all comes down to what speaks to the buyer more  The biggest problem IMO is that so many colors look amazing on this car and it makes the color choice a damn difficult one :yesnod:

Great Pics,
I already have my order in, status code 3000, CRM coupe, red calipers, Z-51, 3LT, Kalahari interior, performance exhaust, MRC, and Chrome wheels. Seeing these pics makes me feel good about what I ordered, as it was sight unseen when I choose the options.

This is what I was thinking for my convertible but I think Kalahari is a bit too orange. It may be the camera though because the red looks a bit "pinkish" and I know it's not.

I do like this combo though. I wonder if it would look better in 2LT where the dash is black. I love this Ferrari F12 that has a similar appearance.
