White always great, and especially great on the C7...

But way too many contrasting vents designed to appeal to the 'kids' just discovering the Corvette and liking its Ferronda styling. Looks like sparks should come out of the back when you push it on the ground.

Leaving the hood vents body colored would have been more overall sophisticated styling IMO... :leaving:

Are two tops an option?

Yes.

C2Q = CFA + CC3
C2M = C2Z + CC3

CC3 = Roof panel, 1-piece transparent, removable
CFA = Roof panel, carbon fiber, painted body-color, removable
C2Z = Roof panel, visible carbon fiber with body-color surround, removable

This guy only has 60 followers on Instagram! I'm following him now!

Great shots, really helps people better "connect" to the C7 seeing it from the driver seat........I can imagine being behind the wheel lol :)

Im guessing the OP works for GM?

If by OP you are referring to me, I apologize for the confusion. I did not take these pics. As it has been mentioned, these are from the Vaughans. I met them at the bash this year (as I imagine several of you did), and had a great discussion with Ryan regarding the interior. Naturally I followed them on Instagram, but was surprised to see that no one here or on corvette blogger picked up these awesome photos to share! They are some of the best shots taken in my opinion, and Instagram is a great strategy to reach an additional demographic.

x10. Exactly what I was thinking seeing that view from the drivers seat and I must say I like. Thanks OP for the pics. Its great to see some 'personal' shots of the car inside and out. :cheers:

This base Stingray with matching roof, smooth body with no spoiler tacked on, and simple wheels lets us see how clean and aerodynamic looking the basic Stingray design is. Very classy. Adding on more "stuff" just complicates it and looks busy.

.

\hat car looks incredibly "busy" it needs a lot of that crap taken off, or removed.

(hood extractor etc)

That really is a nice, bright white...and it seems to somewhat disguise the over-abundance of creases. It's odd how both white and black can accomplish that...though black will disguise all the black trim as well...JMO

:iagree: But be careful...they'll jump on your neck. Knowing this, I'd go one step farther anyway and say that all the vents, the "A" pillars, and the top half of the rear diffuser should be painted body color as well. I've seen it photo-shopped, and the car definitely looks much more finished...JMO :hide:

I love the dash, especially at night. The back end looks a little funky, but I still like that too.
Basically I think the car is beautiful.

i will be really glad when the whole instagram fad dies -- if I wanted to look at high quality pictures though a 70's lens, I'd buy an old POS camera.

Nice car thoughh.

This is why you should buy arctic white:

Road trip happened about a week ago. Went from Michigan to Tampa, Florida.

Note of clarification: I did not shoot these. They were originally shared on Instagram by the performance interior design manager @GM.

Had to reshare here!

that is sweeeeeeet.
can someone photoshop the vents by the taillights and the black on on the rear facisa white, leave the bottom diffuser area black.

SgtRod 07-18-2013 12:40 AM

I was in Naples, Fla today and saw these guys. There was a red stingray with two chevy trucks in a convoy driving around. The plates said Michigan "manufacturer".

The car does look nicer in person.

C7Heaven 07-18-2013 07:00 PM

Thanks for posting this. Im getting white. Love it!!

Agreed! I don't like the carbon roof because unless you get the car in cyber grey, you will have that body colored bar across the roof sticking out like a sore thumb. Looks much cleaner with the body color roof..flows better.

I only had a few minutes so i couldn't change the color of the vents to white but I took them away and replaced them with white.

I think it gives you an idea of how it would look.

I also removed the Corvette lettering.

If i have time later tonight I can work on it more.

a lot of people seem to hate the rear light vents...not sure why. If anything the bottom part of the bumper is what needs help IMO. The vents are both sporty and functional
