Looks like it was a great show, thanks for sharing and congratulations on your taking home some hardware.

WOW!! Great show. Wish there were that many Corvettes around here. We have a hard time getting 12-15 together at one time.

Thanks for the picture.. I owe you one. This was a great show today. The Classic Corvette Club needs to be congratulated for a great show and great organization.
P.S. The 2014 Vette did not 'wow' me. |
Awesome show and congrats on the win:rock:

Big congratulations to you Jim! Your car and your exceptional preparation were as good as it gets. Someone mentioned that Jim was seriously considering trading in the GS for a long bed pick up to haul away all of the awards that he received. And, great pics, your photography skills are extraordinary. Kudos to Classic Corvettes and Mystic Lake Casino for a great job in teaming up to present a perfect (except for a bit of rain) day of all things corvette.
It was also a treat to see the new C7 and meet Tom Peters. The C7, in the flesh/fiberglass/carbon fiber, is quite impressive. Personally, I like it a lot. The front end of the car is a thing of beauty and the tail end is growing on me. I like the C1, C2, and C3. Both the C4 (boxy) and C5 (a cartoonish amalgam of the C3 and C4) are homogenous failures of design, IMO. The C6 hit the mark with an elegant mix of stylistic lines from nose to tail. The C7, again IMO, offers more of a sharply chiseled, perhaps harsher, more aggressive look. It's a true evolution/revolution in both form and function that for sure does a good job of defining a new corvette generation. My only concern, after having had the chance to sit in it, is that it has even less head and leg room for my 6'5" frame than does my C6. That aside, the interior is a genuinely nice step up from the C6. I think that GM has a winner with the C7. |
 Thanks.
