Car and driver showing c7 z06/7
|
Estimated 100K? Dang.... That makes the ZR1 in the 120-130k base? EEEEK
|
Car and driver says twin turbo v8 with less displacement, 7 speed manual...for this 2016 model...no zr1 till late in the product cycle if at all..
By 2016 8 speed automatic but not for the Z07 model as it stays with existing 7 speed manual only.. Half baked but that's what we are hearing. I still think it will be a 6.2 supercharged...and called the z06 ...not Z07 but its just my opinion. |
You guys can have your Stingray... This is what I'm waiting for!!
|
Carbon ceramic brakes and wider rubber also...
I liked it better when the z06 cost as much as a loaded convertible back in the c5 days... Double the price even with 600 projected ponies is a lot of coin for a power upgrade.... (And other things I'm sure) |
OK thanks for posting this but thanks again to KEEKS for his clarvoiant posts from last year. Look at the wheels of the CAD and the wheels in these pics from C&D...identical.

I'd like to amend my comment to the fact that the CAD post was informative in that it showed what we did not otherwise know. Keeks was obviously not clarvoiant. |

100k? people paid that in 06. I highly dought it will be that much. Maybe fully loaded. Hell a fully loaded c7 is in the mid 70's.

You realize that they weren't clairvoyant, they were stolen from GM servers through a data breach right?

Interesting.
I wouldn't be shocked if Callaway hits 630-650 hp with the Stingray. Slotting the new Z in at 600hp with no ZR. If they go with only the one model, I bet it's north of 600hp. |

OK not clairvoyant. Bad choice of words on my part. But then, I've never heard the real story. As far as I know, it was a marketing ploy, just as the Jalopnik images very well could have been.

Not even close. People lost their job over that fiasco.

The (whatever they call it's) tail lights will be the same as the Stingray. Just get used to it. Same function, same look.
