('92) Windshield washer bottle leaking
 

Noticed that washer bottle was nearly empty so refilled it only to find that it apparently has a leak. Eventually found a small stream of fluid running out next to where the bottle screws to the frame (lower inboard side of bottle). Has anyone had to replace a bottle? Looks like I'll have to take the pass. side tire and inner wheel well splash guard to get access to it? I've found several old threads for C3 bottle replacements but nothing for C4. Probably don't need to even worry about this but it will bug me if I don't fix it. Other than a used one on Ebay, is there any other sources to check?

Since there is no pressure in the WW bottle, look into using some liquid neoprene to seal the leak.

Sounds like an easy fix. I assume you would apply this to the outside of the bottle? What though, is liquid neoprene and where could I find it? I suppose I could also epoxy or use plumber's putty on it, too. Without having it removed it looks like the crack is right at the flattened spot that was molded and drilled for the attachment screw.

JB Weld, or JB Marine Weld will fix that crack.... about $6.
Clean the damaged area thoroughly, even light sanding is suggested.
When applying the epoxy, just press gently to the crack area trying to force it into the crack,
then liberally apply to the surrounding area.

Epoxy dries to a grey color, and can be painted to match the bottle.

Roofers use it, and it's also used to seal outdoor electrical connections and other kinds of fittings. An electrical or industrial supply place should have it.
And yes, just apply to the outside.
As already mentioned, plumbers putty is another good option.

JB Weld. Mine leaks also but I haven't dug into where it's leaking at just yet. Last one I fixed was leaking around the pump seal so I sealed it with RTV.

Do you have to take the front tire & inner fender well off or can you take the rear part of the fender (part with vents) off and remove the tank?

Could possibly take the side panel off but looks like I'd have better access with the wheel well route. I appreciate all the suggestions and the EBAY find. It's amazing that it would cost all most as much to ship the bottle as it does to buy it. As a point of interest; I can see/visualize where my leak is via the picture of the bottle on Ebay. It's the area around the attachment hole.
