Just Couldn't Wait...

Any longer. Third day of ownership came and I just had to see how she would handle. So away we went on the several miles of twisting turns and downhill
curves of Winding Stairs Section of the Ouchita National Forrest. It handled extremely well no matter what I put it up against. So I made the run a second time.
I'm confident that this coupe can stand up to the Corvettes reputation of being in a class all of its own. I love the performance of a vette :D

"Hey...I had to tell someone!"

"Oh! By the way...
I do appreciate all of the kind words and warm welcomes that I received from everyone.
"Thanks!"

If you think it's great now, just wait till you start modding it!

bizaro 09-12-2013 05:20 AM

right color. looks nice. enjoy

AirForceOne! 09-12-2013 07:18 AM

They do handle awesome don't they!

Johnbar 09-12-2013 04:19 PM

You're exactly right, they handle great and are a blast to drive. Terrific looking too!

96 Vette CE 09-12-2013 04:48 PM

These cars are just a blast to drive, I grin every minute I'm behind the wheel. :auto:

These C4s are a ton of fun and mine is one of most entertaining cars that I've owned. :D

 Wait til you replace suspension bushings (assuming they are original). If the tires are more than 6 years old, new ones will make a ton of difference as well.

That Vette looks very clean. Get some black wheels or just use plasti dip. If you don't like the plasti dip, it would peel off like a scab if you don't like it.

A white 96, I assume it is an automatic.

It took me two years of babying the car to do this, so if you haven't already you need to:
(1) turn off traction control
(2) from a standstill or slow rolling start, gas it.
(3) as the rear wheels try to trade places with the front wheels, give a big Corvette smile.

awesome

I stopped by your garage and checked out your vette. Very nice condition and great color combo. Looks like it's well cared for. I got to agree with you; 'Entertaining' is a fitting description for the kind of ride we drive.
I enjoyed my C5 through the years, but the fun is just now beginning because the c4 is... what it is. I don't know if it's the brand new tires or just the way the car is designed, but it seems to handles like a race car.
My wife did ask me if I was going to like the C4. She then read my expression.:D

I detailed the entire engine bay out on my ride today and just noticed it looks the same as yours. Are the '95s & '96s a lot alike?

A automatic it is for this retired ole man. Put my time in with a full-fledge GT with a stick. An a manual tranny 'is' a lot of fun. But it's nothing I want in a car that I'll have for a looonng time.:D
By-the-way...Definitely getting new wheels 'next year'.

I beleive the bodies are the same. The LT1 engines were changed slightly to accept OBDII.

Unless there is the slightest bit of moisture on the road...then that rear end likes to race the front end for the lead...

Great looking ride!

DGXR 09-13-2013 01:01 PM

Yes a very entertaining ride for sure. Loads of torque, stiff suspension and great grip, sharp turning, good brakes, slick sexy body... what's not to love? Enjoy your beautiful car.

That's a shame, they look great with the stock wheels. Everyone has an opinion, but black wheels would cheapen the look considerably, like wearing black socks and shoes to the beach.
