Z51 order delays
 

Due to constraints has anyone here changed their order from a Z51 car to a non-Z51 in order to get their C7 earlier?

So far I'm holding out for the Z51 car. Seeing all you folks with C7's on here makes it hard to wait sometimes. They do say patience is a virtue. :toetap:

Personally, I wouldn't sacrifice the z51-- the e-diff is a pretty big deal. Also, no magride without it either!

Yes, I'll apply the savings to other improvements. I'm still not advancing without the Z51.

There are a lot of Verts that are Z51 and have been at 3000 for about 6 weeks now. Vert production could start this month or next. I would assume all those verts with Z51 and at 3000 will move forward once they hit the line with vert production.

I'm doing the same. Been waiting forever but just upgraded to 3lt last week. Anybody know if the % of z-51 allocations has increased this week?

Supposedly down to and still at 0% availability.

I don't think it's 0 %. I saw a dealer get a vert allocation today with the Z51.He did only get 1 though.

Yeah. I mean GMer and Dave at Kerbeck said 30-50% (varying) limits this time. To "wave" that around and then all of a sudden see 0% like it was thrown at our heads is like "huh, what??"

Nope. Waiting for the Z51.

I hear you and I hope so too... if anything, a few Z51-orders will trickle through however at this point it's safe and unfortunate to say that a large majority are under constraint. Those that will be severely hampered are the new orders (pre-3000 and especially pre-2000 status). This whole Z51-related fiasco is very dynamic and volatile... day after day, week after week.

I will continue to wait!

Check with your dealer. If there are still constraints on the Z51 option your dealer may ask you to consider waiving the Z51 option. If you are asked to waive the option ask the dealer if you do wait for the Z51 option what happens to your order. If the dealer has a low allotment you may be out of luck if you don't waive the option.

My Z51 went to 3300 this week. Hang in there!

And allot a few here and there now. Not full bore
But it's a trickle

I have to be a pessimist here. I think BG has used up most of the Z51 parts available for production of the initial allocation to the 900 pre-qualified dealers. I predict the Z51 constraint will last until the second wave of allocations comes December or January 2014.

My C7 w/Z51 (not a Convertible) was at 3000 about 10 days ago.

It is now at 1100

nope I agree.....I think you are delayed if you are in "3000 jail" - I also think they replaced some z51 part in Nashville that took up some supply...just my guess...

I just jumped to 3000 from 3300 in two weeks, hang in there I also have Z51
