Can't find C5 1998 fuel line part - GM has discontinued...

Hi...I was hoping that someone might be able to help me with info on locating a part for my 1998 C5 - GM part # 10413424, fuel feed RR hose with check valve. My check valve has given up, so fuel flows back into the tank rather than staying in the line. Because of this, have to crank the motor a few times before it starts up. Just replaced the fuel pump...not sure if this is what helped burn it out - but with the pump costing $850 + tax + labour (Canadian price...), I really don't want to take a chance to prematurely wear out the new one. GM apparently has discontinued this part, which sucks given that this is not a model where 95% of the cars have gone to the scrapyard by now.

GM schematic & part list is attached...it's part #33 on there.

Thanks for any help you can provide! :canadaflag:

i dont even think you can get the fuel line itself these days, much less the various components. may have to go custom braided.

you are correct....however there you can use an aftermarket one...it is simply a check valve....mine is not working either but I turn the car on and listen for the fuel pump to run and as soon as it stops I start the car otherwise it cranks for a bit...the car runs fine. the check valve only prevents the fuel from running back to the tank so you don't have that extended cranking. I am waiting for a reason to get it fixed as you need to drop the tank although I know it can be done without dropping the tank it is easier that way.

Not sure if you want a used one or not. If you would go used, check with Marc at VetteNuts or with Corvette Recycling.
