OK, Im new to the Corvette, and I see everyone talking about 'Sawblades' but the wheels that came with my '88 are not 'Sawblades'

Can someone tell me what they are?

The car came with a set of 1997 Camaro SS wheels, 17x9, which I like a lot so I will most likely keep those on the car.

Also known as Quisinarts:cool:

:iagree:

They're called "Cuisinart"...

JD Shredds 04-18-2014 01:48 AM

I like the cuisinarts, but I prefer the final year run in 1990 without the big flat center cap.

A lot more rugged looking.

Anyway, those 5 spokes look good.

You know, your wheels are on backwards...:D

aussie_g 04-18-2014 10:49 AM

I didnt think about the wheels being for one side or the other. I like them a lot better 'Backwards'

They're designed to go the other way around so as to direct the cool air to the brakes. If you run them backwards, you don't get that benefit. You choose.

eeehhhhh! I'm sorry, your time's run out! What do we have for the losers, judge? Well, for our defendants, it's a life time at exotic Fort Leavenworth! And, for defense counsel Kaffee, that's right, it's a court martial! Yes, Johnny! After falsely accusing a highly decorated Marine officer of conspiracy and perjury, Lieutenant Kaffee will have a long and prosperous career teaching... typewriter maintenance at the Rocco Globbo School for Women! Thank you for playing "Should we or should we not follow the advice of the galactically stupid!"

The wheels are as they should be, it's the car that's backward.

No right or wrong way: one way pushes air IN over the brakes, the other way pulls air OUT after passing over the brakes.
Either way looks good to me.
