C7 Z06=Old News - 707 HP Dodge Hellcat=C7 ZR1 with 750hp
With Today's official release of HP figures on the dodge hellcat at 707hp, its reasonable to believe GM will have to up that number with a C7 Zr1. :lurk:

I'll take the Z.
Cool mill in the Hellcat, tho. |
Complete different classes the two cars are in. The question is what will they do with Viper.
|
Amazing numbers out of the Hellcat, Great job Dodge!

Kudos to the team at Dodge
Does anyone know the weight difference between the Hellcat's V8 and the Viper's V10?. Now we will have to wait and see what tricks are up the sleeve for the Viper and the new Shelby |

WOW, what a cool ride. To me, I agree with others that the challenger is the best looking of the muscle car retro rides. Now with 707 HP, 650 TQ and a modern 8 spd beefed up auto and manual stick available, the horsepower junkies like a lot of us will be beating a path to the challengers door. Way cool.

just like days gone by...this hp war will soon have its end...the cafe standards are going to put an end to the gasoline hp wars in a few years..i myself hope i see the electric/fuel cell hp wars come to be...thats gonna be awesome...and while we are at it lets forget about mag suspension and go for mag levitation...woohoo:thumbs:

Should the ZR1 up the weight advantage too of over 1000 lbs??? That tank needs it. All that weight will break parts once a few mods happen.

A lot of nervous/anxious suits at GM today after this news broke hahaha.
I was considering a stingray or the new z06 or even a zl1 but now I'm waiting to see what this cat is all about. "Most powerful muscle car ever". Pretty awesome to be able to say that. Can't wait to test drive that thing. |

Can't wait to test drive that thing. The Z06 will still be quicker and faster in a straight line by a considerable amount. Let's not even discuss track, because the Z06 destroys basically anything let alone a 4300 lb pig built on an oversized sedan chassis. |
