Fiberglass repair. Door edge
 

I'll apologize in advance if I am posting in the wrong section.

I had an unfortunate run in with a garage door today which left my corvette's door in less than mint condition.

I was wondering what would be my best option for repair? I am new to fiberglass.

When I bought mine it had a botched repair job in the same spot.. I took it to a couple local shops and picked one.. looks like it was never there! Cost me about $700 but seriously it looks awesome now. Seriously can't even tell it was there!

I had an identical mishap 4 months ago. PM me and I could talk to you about it. I had it repaired flawlessly. Cost 900 bucks just to prepare you but important to have it done right. No dealership on this.

That is a very easy repair, even I could fix that... I've only done body work, once to my own car, just as an experiment to see if I could do body work. it came out very successfully, and what I did was much more involved than that simple fix. The good news is that your car is Torch Red, which is a very easy color to paint and match.

I glassed these ducts in myself. (my first time doing body work )

It cost me 150 dollars to have both rockers painted, I've not tried my hand at painting ( yet )

my point here is the fix , itself is very easy, The color you have is an easy color to match. Good luck. my point here is also for you not to worry, it will disappear with a little money thrown at it.
