Opinions on some new shoes.......
In the end, I know I'll do what I think is nicest, but I'm curious about what you guys think. Excuse the photo-shop mock up, but what do you like the front or the back. The front is one of the set I got last winter. Z28 7in. turbines. The old ones are 7in rally's with 66 caps. :bigears:

Dump the Turbines (too hard to keep clean, and wrong era....for me).

For me the turbines look the best, no lettering .Gold lines or red lines would look great. You want to sell the turbines? The wife's 79 Z28 would look good with those. Just kidding, she has the white 5 spokes and they do not look good on a 62, swapped them one time to find a bent wheel.
|
Keep them stock...
The 62 is one of my all time favorite Vettes. I would keep the wheels stock on such a gorgeous car. I would love to own a 62 someday.

I think wheels make a car. I like the turbines. Dennis

I can't stop staring at your avatar...:smash:

The turbines are nice, but on that car, what you have on the rear looks better to me.
|
I like these on a 62.

Don't like either one.
It's a '62 for ***** sake! Put on a set of Cragars or Keystone Klassics. |

I just sold 6 of them on CL......didn't like them on the 62 at all. |
The Turbine's chrome ribs clash a little with the chrome teeth in the cove. That along with the "era" issue makes the rear my choice (along with a black wall tire). AR, TT's too, because that's what I run on my '62  Really good looking car.

Two words
Kerrmudgeon,
I have two words for you: Floatation devices!!!!!!!!!!:D |
My first choice would be to keep it stock. My other choice would be like the '62. Which is also stock.
I kept the stock wheels on my '58 but put Michelin P205/75R15 tires on the car. I got them at Costco and they not only gave me nitrogen for free but they will rotate and balance them every 5,000 miles at no charge. Here's an article I wrote about early Corvette wheels a few years ago. Here's a more generic article I did about wheels last year. Richard Newton |
try photo shopping your car with thin white walls and '64 hubcaps - I think that combo would look nice with a fawn/saddle car

Funny when you ask a simple question like A or B, you also get C,D,E,F,G,H,..... around here. Like i said, it's my car, and in the end I'll do what makes me happy.....as it should be! :lolg:

I prefer the rear wheel treatment shown on your car. |
Not the turbines.
|
Turbines!
|
Turbines here, too.
Doesn't matter which you pick, that car would look great on concrete blocks. |
