Thanks for reading, for your comments and your questions!

The bulletin specifically addresses 2014 and 2015 models.

If your 2016 is exhibiting the same condition it's possible that this bulletin will assist your dealer.

:woohoo:

Nice, mine have been quite since I greased the pins but nice to have a real fix.

OVR60 10-02-2015 07:07 PM

Mine is perfect, i am one of the lucky ones.

I've only had my roof off 3 times so far, but as of now, no noises so I guess I am lucky. Are the cars coming off the line now fitted with the new hardware at the factory? If so, when did it start?

Thanks for the info, Ken.

Same thing in the C6

Had this same problem in my 2006 C6. Now I know what it was, but I traded it for a 2016!

I have looked at these pics , outside of the black vs white locating pin, not really seeing the difference in the pins or the striker. Not sure what I am missing. My roof started with the creaks etc. after a 4k trip this summer, how do I know this is the fix are these parts actually physically different?

Be interested to hear from anyone who has the fix as to how and worked and what is the diff in the new and old parts.

Thank you! I will have this done now! That creaking is annoying as hell!

I just received a 2016 built mid-July and it has the newer strikers (its smoother and the ramps are shaped different then the earlier ones) and it also has the white pins.

Honestly my old '14 never creaked at all in a year/10K miles, my '08 and '12 C6 did though - badly. This '16 doesnt creak but it only has 30 miles on it :)

Am I the only one having a problem printing the bulletin? :ack:

You could right click on the image of the bulletins (do both) and save them (save image as "...." ) to your desktop then print them off by right clicking while they are on your desktop to print.

I can confirm my late build 2015 (May 27th) has the new parts installed from the factory. So all 2016s should as well.
