It's with a heavy heart that we post this message today. A dear long-time friend and icon within the Corvette hobby has passed, Noland Adams. Noland was a Corvette historian, author and NCM Corvette Hall of Fame Inductee along with much more. His passion towards the Corvette hobby shined brightly and will continue to do so. Noland passed on this 84th birthday. We would like to offer our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Years ago, I wrote to Noland when he was doing a magazine column. He not only answered my question, he sent me a detailed had written letter with pages of extra information and an offer to provide more information if I needed it. Considering how many letters he got, I was truly impressed by his dedication to this hobby. His books are the gold standard for restorers. He will be missed for sure.

Noland's daughter called me a few minutes ago to let me know. Noland passed away peacefully at his house, on his 84th birthday. I sure had a blast talking to him and going thru all of his corvette stuff about 6 years ago.

Sad to lose icons like Noland. 84 is not very "old" these days. As someone said, his books are the gold standard to our hobby. I would not part with mine for any amount of money. Condolences to the family.

He treated you like an friend, even the very first time he met you if you owned an old Corvette. When I met him at the Sacramento Regional six years ago, he acted like my 65 Stingray was the best old Corvette he had ever laid eyes on (it's not).
RIP corvette man.
