She's Back! Callaway SC757
4 Attachment(s)
Got her back last week and was out of town this past weekend. Had a chance to drive her for a few days and I can say I am very impressed and completely satisfied with the work Callaway did. Big thank you to Chris and all at Callaway in Old Lyme, CT for all their hard work and attention to detail. The power is incredible when you want it but the car still retains all its daily drivability and smoothness. The installation is completely factory looking in every way. No corners are cut and there is an incredible attention to detail with all wiring and routing of hoses done perfectly. You definitely notice more of the supercharger whine and whistle even when casually driving under moderate acceleration. The throttle is very responsive and power is immediate. Haven't launched the car as I don't have 1500 miles on it yet but the acceleration from 30 - 120 is wicked fast.
Here are a few pics after I got her all cleaned up. I know there are many people who question the cost vs. benefit of the Callaway SC757 package. Those that are skeptical and feel that there are better modifications with higher gains and cheaper cost I recognize you so there is no need to debate that or post these issues in this thread. cheers! |
Wow! Very nice! Congrats

:thumbs:Looks great, be smart don't street race!

Wow, that engine and hood shot are phenomenal. And yes, don't street race but get on it whenever the circumstances allow. :yesnod:

Not much is ever gained by street racing. However there have been many instances of loss of property and unfortunately life. It's something that I do not engage in. Those that pull up at a light and rev their engine and ask to race have always ended up with a one car peel out when the light turns green. |

Awesome!

I know how it feels to wait. I also know how it feels after break-in miles. What a beast! Congrats!

The Lambo in the garage isn't too shabby either...
|
^^^ Thank you. She's a different beast all together!
|
Nice ride:) Hope you dont think I am being stupid but can you drive it in the rain with the hole in the hood?
|
^^^ Yes you can and you can event take it through a car wash if you are inclined to do so.
The design allows water to run down the supercharger over the coil covers and then drain down towards the exhaust manifolds. I plan on driving it daily including in the rain. |
Smart idea. It allows a lot of heat to escape and looks great as well.

^^^ You can definitely see the heat radiating out of the hole and from the top of the intercooler housing.
|
From the land of 757 and the 757 crew, that looks dangerously evil.
|
^^^ Spent some time at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center during my residency. Love the Hampton Roads area.
|
Impressive!
|
Looks awesome, congratulations on the build!!!
