Looks to me that they just made no effort to line things up before tightening bolts. Been there, done that. Sometimes the holes have to be made bigger to allow for alignment.

It is more about the installer with the L5s, mine look and fit good but someone took the time to do it right. Body mods like this are not just bolt-on, they require paint match and finessing to get a good result.

not true at all. My L5 fit very well nothing like that .
