Nate ,Great looking show room ! I have heard a lot of good things about your dealership from people at my local cruise nights /car shows who have bought cars from your dealership. They say it worth the ride to your dealership. I will be getting in contact with your dealership in the next couple months regarding pricing out a 2017 or 2018 if I here any changes in the 2018 that would make me want to wait. It will be a GS coupe. I'm waiting for weather to break and roads to get better salt ,pot holes. I have to sell or trade a 2004 with 17,500 miles and don't want to get car out now. I check out your inventory often. If you get a GS with Spice Red or Twilight Blue interior in before I contact you feel free to PM me. Dave

Darn, Darn, Darn! I was just in Rochester visiting my grandson at RIT. Had I know about this I would have come by. I may buy my next car from you. Awesome, awesome showroom. I think you may have outdone every other Corvette dealer in the country. Well done!:salute:

Nice! Was just there a month ago for the Rochester Corvette Club coffee and donuts meet. Many people out of the Rochester NY area do not know that Kitty Van Bortel's father Howard at one time (in the 60's and 70's) had the largest Corvette dealership in the world! My C7 parked in the lot of the old dealership...Palmyra Motors.

Van Bortel is the only Chevy dealership in Rochester that touches either of my Vettes. The service is legit top notch. They treat your car just like it is their own. Paul the service guy is great. And John and Aaron, the Vette techs, know their stuff. They have a Hunter machine and know exactly how to mount and balance our tires properly, while you are free to watch. You can also watch anything and everything they are doing to your car if you feel like it. They understand Vettes and Vette owners and treat us differently.
I'm a guy who works on all of his own cars, and I am picky to the point of being annoying when I end up at a dealeship for a recall or an inspection or tire swap or alignment. They actually welcome my demands and will tell you they wouldn't have it any other way. They don't wash the car, but have a professional detailer on site if you want it done. They don't joy ride the cars around, they don't do anything you don't specifically authorize and they are efficient. They use all state of the art equipment and their shop is clean, orderly and cared for. On my C6 Z06, they were well aware of the valve issues (most dealerships play dumb or are simply ignorant), know what a camber kit is (and recommended it as I was losing my camber settings on the track) and are happy to accomodate my track specific instructions if/when I bring the car there. On the my C7 Z06, they are careful to the point of absurdity (perfect, thanks!), rarely even move my car unless I know about it and only allow certain individuals to even get near it. They purchased a Hunter machine pretty much specifically so they could properly mount Vette tires and also know how to align them. There are Vettes EVERYWHERE when you go to them. Old ones, new ones, track Vettes, cruisers, garage queens. The whole shebang. It is a pretty impressive setup. Only place on Earth, other than my own garage, that I will leave my car unattended. And for a car nut like me that is saying alot. |

I'm in elmira.....may have to make a trip up there and check your place out!!!!

It's a very impressive showroom. I was driving by and my truck turned in by itself, I had nothing to do with it! I also had a good experience with service there last fall prior to lay-up for the winter.
They host events that I hope to be able to attend this year. Very cool. It's great to have a Corvette specialist in the area! Thanks Kitty! |
very nice...G-L ! :flag:

Wow! This pretty much sums up what we're trying to accomplish!! This is only possible because we're nutty Corvette guys ourselves!! If you don't mind, I might use your post in our customer testimonials. Thank you so much! I'll be sure to share this with the team! |

Oh man, that takes me back. I spend many cold Sunday mornings drooling over the Corvettes at Palmyra Motors. Got me through a very ugly Canandaigua winter!

Here are a few items we have on display from Palmyra Motors

Yes me too! I used to drive out there all the time to check out their new and used Vettes! In fact, my first Corvette (1966 Stingray Convertible) purchased in 1972 when I was 18 years old was purchased there new in 1966. i still have the original protecto plate to it.

[QUOTE=Nate@VanBortelChevy;1594110377]Thanks Dave! If we get one in I will definitely contact you! When ever you are ready give me a call and we'll put together a great deal f
I see you have a Twilight Blue interior car coming in but it's a convertible . Do you have a build date for that car ? I might want to see that combo again in person. Do have any GS coupes with Spice red coupes on order that aren't on your web site as incoming ? Thanks Dave |
Very cool looking showroom. If I'm ever in the area, I'll have to stop by and check it out.
