Well, another success thanks to the tips from you guys. Got new fuel pump in, this is pump that someone had installed who knows when. At least .25" difference in arm length. Still got a light knock in engine at idle though. So going to install a Pertronix ign upgrade and new coil while I'm doing a timing check this weekend. Lots of reading leading to a possible timing issue. I'm hearing 4-6 degrees BTDC. Wish me luck. ....Attachment 48064530

Pls tell us what engine you have...and distributor type..will help with the timing estimation..:thumbs:

327 small block with the original delco remy distributor with point ign.

What makes you think that widget will fix your problem. I would check and adjust timing and dwell first
