Who thinks the 2018 changes will be significant?
Outside of the test mules, both mid-engine and ZR1 (?!), who thinks that there will be significant changes across all C7 Corvette models for 2018?
There's something about the timing this year that seems to point that GM has some surprises for us in store for the 2018 model year. The fact that 2017 production stops almost two weeks before the NCM Bash tells me that the factory production line improvements and the new paint facility is just the tip of the iceberg for the Corvette brand and that GM doesn't want to tip their hand too early like they did last year that caused the summer fire sale for in stock 2016 Z06s. I'm reading that the Stingray and Grand Sport may get a HP boost and that the camo ZR1 is really the 2018 Z06 with additional cooling and Z07 aero track packages that includes the optional rear wing. If it is a ZR1, I wonder if the Z06 will receive any updates beyond the cooling improvements made for 2017. Then there is the A10 which keeps getting brought up as a possible fit into the C7. :toetap: |
New paint process should be online

They are bringing back the split window and L88.

No more significant than the '17... Maybe a few tweaks here-and-there, but that's it IMO. I'd say that it'll be much of the same for the remainder of the C7 run.
|
I say new colors and the intro of the zr1.

A new and different shade of gray?:D
|
I have two words for you guys:
turbo diesel. |
10 speed automatic will be offered if not on all some regardless of what that Guy from the NCM says. You will also see interior enhancements across all lines.
|
Eco-boost type V-6?
3 cylinder hybrid? Black wheel option eliminated? |
I do...like 2008 MYs.
I hope for a new ZHZ :D:hide: |
Who knows but Corvette history from C3-C6 MY runs for a max of 15 years (C3) and a min of 8 years (C5). I can't imagine they will do any major changes til 2020. It's just a guess though.

In my book there are no significant changes until the next gen is released. Colors, cup holders, packages, blindspot helpers, 10 HP increase 10 speed auto, I drive a stick, none of that matters.
I was motivated to but a 13 GS, sweet car in November 2012, the discounts were so deep. Went to the bash in 13 and surprisingly had a new C7 in September. Now that is a significant motivation to me. |
Chrome wheel option eliminated. 22" Spinners and chrome 3 hole Buick hood vents create new top dog model the ZR1 Limited.
|
|
3 wheel motion on all models.
