Finally got my Car out this week after 4 months of waiting for the Spring to come, i have been yearning and thinking about replacing my vette for a zr1 and then decided for a z06, and even it seemed like the Ls3 guys are better off than me in the ls2, finally had a nice drive in my vette yesterday and wondered why its inferior to have an ls2, its a wonderful engine, very powerful and torquy. :flag:

What do you guys say?

I have no idea what your post meant, but your pictures are very pretty. Nice car :-)

It's all in your head dude.

Your driving a Corvette and 99% of the people on the road can't tell a ZR1 from a Z06 from a GS from a base coupe, never mind what engine it has.

Your missing the big picture. Take a step back and enjoy your car and don't worry about what others have.

love my LS2 powered 07 C6, I have driver LS1,2,3,7 cars both stock and modded and I see absolutely no issues with any of them, sure some make more power than others or have different features but they are all fun to drive

:iagree: And most people can't tell an '05 from a '13...you're faster then 95% of the cars on the road and unless your an egotist who has to have "the fastest", who cares? I love my '05, if I wanted newer I could have one but my '05 still does it for me and I suspect it will do it for me for a long time. And all the nods, smiles, thumbs up and positive comments don't hurt either... Enjoy YOUR car!

Thanks, i wanted to see how the other members feel about the 6.0, pics are to keep this from being boring. Ive been dissatisfied with the fact that the earlier base corvette engine gets worser recognition on the internet because of the more dominant variants.

I love my 07 LS2. It's got more than enough grunt when I press the skinny pedal.

Your right, i just hope other corvette owners get that message as well, i just been reading alot online when people been giving advice on buying the c6 is to avoid the ls2 and go for the ls3, i get the "bigger the better" thing, i started falling for it myself

There's no love for any Corvettes on here, lol. You should try owning a C4 if you want to feel no respect, haha. People on here act like you should pay someone to take your Crossfire 1984 C4, lol.

There's no bad Corvette, except the one you didn't buy.

I didn't go for bigger, I went for wider. I'm very content with my GS. OOPS, didn't mean to put ideas in your head. :D

:iagree: I am very happy with my LS2 and haven't even considered moving over to the LS3.

There will always be somebody with more HP, with a newer car, with a better reaction time, with a faster top speed, with more money, to do more mods etc.

The thing is, all that matters when you open your garage door is how that vehicle makes you feel emotionally.

If you open that door and you still get that elevated heart rate, when you start the engine you feel like it's going to be a great ride.. When you park somewhere and have to look back at the car and think to yourself "I love this car."

Then you have the right one. Every year something newer and better is going to come out. Every manufacturer is counting on being able to convince people with money that to be fulfilled they need the newest and the best of everything.

When people wave at you, or say nice car.. they don't say nice LS2. They say Nice car, or Nice Corvette.

That means something.

Zero_6 03-20-2017 08:12 PM

I bought the newest and lowest miles vette I could afford and that was a LS3.

USA1 427 03-20-2017 08:13 PM

It's personal preference. I prefer power, but I sure don't look down on anyone driving a base Corvette. Corvette is Corvette and they're all fantastic rides. Lovin the yellow.

myredhead1 03-20-2017 08:25 PM

Would love to have an LS9, but I'm completely happy with my full bolt ons LS2. :D

jrose7004 03-20-2017 08:33 PM

Absolutely nothing wrong with a LS2.
