Does any one know how they are actually going to run the piping for the intercooler? Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Magnacharger sit right on top of the motor and replace the stock intake manifold? How on earth are they going to route pipes to take the compressed air from the Magnacharger and pipe it to an intercooler and then get it back to the engine? Seems like there isn't any room to do this.

530 RWHP sounds like a real stretch, given that typical readings of the non-intercooled variety run in the 425-450 RWHP range. Based on experience with adding intercoolers to Vortech blown cars, gains of 20-30 RWHP are more likely.

There won't be any piping necessary. The supercharger will discharge straight into the intercooler, which in turn discharges into the plenum. The only necessary lines become the water lines to circulate to a heat exchanger in the front of the car to cool the water.

Re: magnacharger intercooled version? (dvandentop)

The intercooler is air to water between the magnacharger and manifold.

This is a universal kit going in a 69 Camaro:

The Corvette unit would have a lower profile. Nineball is building the motor above on LS1tech.

Ventura, CA (October 15, 2003) Magnuson Products, manufacturer of superchargers and supercharger systems for foreign and domestic vehicles, is pleased to announce the availability of the newly designed, intercooled supercharger system for C5 and Z06 Corvettes. Intercooled kits are available in silver powdercoat and polished finishes

This all-new intercooled supercharger system utilizes the Magna Charger MP112 supercharger with internal bypass valve. Torque and horsepower output is improved from 1500 rpm to 6500 rpm, giving more “power under the curve” than any other supercharger system available, horsepower increases of 150 and torque increases of equal amounts have been verified on chassis dynomometers.

Intercooled C5 and Z06 supercharger systems are complete with all components necessary for installation. Included in the kit is the cast aluminum intake manifold and all necessary hardware to complete the entire installation. Other components in the system include new fuel injectors and extruded aluminum fuel rails, coolant circulation pump, intercooler core and heat exchanger. Factory “push lock connectors” are utilized in the fuel system for ease of installation.

The included computer programmer communicates with the factory ECU for proper calibration the of the supercharger system. Transmission shift points, line pressures and torque converter strategies are optimized for use with the increase in torque and horsepower. Optional extended powertrain warranty is available for customer piece of mind. Intercooler upgrades are available for owners of the non-intercooled C-5 kits.
For additional information on the new intercooled C5 and Z06 Corvette supercharger system, intercooler system upgrades or any other Magna Charger, Inc. product, contact them at: http://www.magnacharger.com or: Magna Charger, Inc. 3172 Bunsen Ave. Ventura CA 93003, 805-289-0044, Fax 805-677-4897.

Ah. I was expecting a air to air intercooler as in some of the other systems. The air to water intercooler would certainly take a lot less room. Thanks for the explaination!
