Any racing seats fit stock C5 rails

I'm looking to install a racing seat in my Z06. Which, if any, seats do not require modifications to the stock rails? I'd prefer not to buy Caravaggio because of the cost factor.

not that I know of. And to do one properly, you really need to cut part of the floor out :(

I know, I'm remounting mine due to some safety issues after last years many racing incidents.

I use the Corbeau Forza II. It's a tight fit with the roll bar. It will be real nice when I get the Sparco Steering wheel with Quick Release hub installed.
The Forza is not as wide and you could have all power fuctions working.
My seat will not move, but I like it that way.

Tom,

Are you saying that the Corbeau Forza requires NO modification? If so, that's the way I'm going. I don't care about the power functions as I'm the only driver and my car is primarily a track car. Please let me know if that's the case.

Thanks!
Paul

Ordered the Forza with the appropriate bracket. We'll see how it works out.

I put it in 9 months ago. It was very easy to mount the seat on the stock base. You knock the stock studs out of the brackets after you remove the stock seat. Then you flip over 2 of the brackets(I can't remember if was the front or back). Line the seat up and drill holes in the stock brackets. I can't remember if it was 2 or 4 holes. Put the New Seat on and 4 nuts to hold the seat on and that's it. I left the switch hooked up until I had the postion that I wanted and bolted it back in the car. Like I said, the Forza II is a tight fit and you may have to lift the seat back out several times until you get it were you want it. I then took the switch off. Good Luck.
On a 1 to 10 scale, I would say this was a 3 or 4.
I used the stock seat mount locations for my Harness Lap belts.

I bought the Forza. A buddy of mine stopped by this morning with his Z (my Z is away undergoing surgery) so I could test out how the new seat/bracket fit in a Z. Took all of 10 minutes to swap the seats. The bracket and the seat fit perfectly. Very happy with the fit and the quality of the Corbeau Forza.

FWIW, I called Corbeau. They said the Forza is the only seat the reccomend in the c5 because it is so tight. All the others will have space issues. (The Bottom inertial reels seems to be the mail culprit)

I have a Forza and Bracket waiting to go in, but havent done it with the cold weather.
