Hey guys...Me and my date got on the Bush last week after dinner. it was bout 11pm....We went around a slow car in the right lane....all of a sudden there was a car that filled up my rear view mirror...all i could see was a windshield...this guy was on my bumper so close his headlights were buried in my rear fascia....I freaked out and thought he was a drunk and was gonna slam us,so i sped up, he sped up...then i sped up to get out of this drunks way! Well, the police lights showed up on my hood...thats how close he was!
then he gave me a sobriety test and an butt chewing and a ticket for going 90 in a 60.....what an Ahole this guy was...and he was the biggest man ive seen in my life standing next to me....scared the livin pee out of me...be careful on the bush...he's lurkin guys! :yesnod: :lol: Wash

So he can tailgate and drive dangerously to force you to do something to get ticketed for. I think I'd fight this one. I don't care how big he is.

Not being from the Dallas area, the title certainly got my interest :eek:
I am a retired LEO and I would suggest you either fight it in court or have a chat with his bosses at whatever agency he's with. Maybe both!
This guy is what give LE a bad rep! :sad:

Why not just pull over and let the guy go past you instead of trying to outrun the guy....will save you a tickie and a sobriety test

Well, sure I could have in a logical manner pulled over...BUT when all you see is a windshield and a car about to hit you...sometimes we dont do the logical thing....ITS called trying to save your life from being hit in the rear!
I wasnt trying to outrun the guy...I was trying to get out of his way!

I would fight that and maybe even file a complaint against the officer. Take it before a judge, and if they don't find in your favor, call one of the TV stations. If it happened to me I would alledge harassment, wreckless driving, terrorizing me, and maybe even entrapment...don't know enough about that law though. In any case, I would make a great big ole huge deal out of it. Call the newspapers, radio stations, TV stations...and post it everywhere you possibly can.

Of course, a lawyer might advise you differently...

I had almost the same thing happen to me several years ago on I35. I enter highway go into left lane to get around an 18 wheeler and this car comes flying up on me. So I spped up and get around the truck and as I pull back into the right hand lane he lights them up. I get a ticket for 10 over. I learned a lesson from that, I never speed up anymore so people can go around at night I just use the brake now instead of the gas.

It is to bad that some LEO's do this it gives the good ones a bad name.

I would call his supervisor and file a complaint.

It's simple, just turn on your turn signals indicating to the guy behind you you're pulling over....can't be any simpler than that....in fact that's what I've done when yahoos are tailgating me.

WTF is the Bush?

I-190 loop on the north side of Dallas county. One day may be a real loop around Dallas.
