Recommendations for P255/60/15 tires?
I'm looking to replace the set on my '82. I see that Tirerack has Dunlop GT Qualifiers for only $63/tire for 255/60/15's. Any comments pro or con on this choice? Any other recommendations?
I'm also wondering just how big a tire I can fit on the stock aluminum slotted wheels? I see BFG has some T/A's in bigger sizes that may fit. . . TIA! |

You may want to look at these if you ever intend to exceed 118MPH in your C3 (I know they're truck tires but, they have a V speed rating.) Here is the link:

I like the BFG and Pirrellis as well. I also like the Cooper Cobra GT. I'll probably go with the Coopers if I decide to stick with 15" wheels. Ihttp://www.photohost.org/gallery/dat...960cobraGT.jpg

I have them on the ralley rims and they do NOT rub. :seeya Jeff |

if i remember the dunlop didn't get too good a grade from tire rack's review section when i bought my TA's a few yrs ago. no intention to steal your thread but i just rotated my TA's front to rear, rear to front because the rear tires were wearing down quick i thought, even wear but sure seems they didn't last long, can't remember what year i bought them or the mileage, but they don't have that my miles because i don't drive the vette that much per year. anyone else experience short tread life with their TA's?

i have bfg's in 255/60. but good luck finding a set. the plant closed down and all the radials are on national backorder |
I have the Pirelli's sitting in my garage. I only put 200 mile on them and took them off due to the rubbing. 76 have a smaller wheel well configuration.
Email me if interested. Make me an offer. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes |

Thanks guys for all the replies; I learned a few things! I like the idea of the V-rated Pirelli's and I'll need to check in to the availability of the T/A's. I also like the idea of upgrading to 16" or 17" wheels. . . Decisions, decisions. . .
Thanks again! |
