taller tires?
I am really liking the 19/20 cup wheels but not the 30/25 aspect ratio of the tires. anyone run 275/35/19 and 345/30/20 on stock height wide body? tire sizes are about an inch taller both front and rear
thanks

Taller tires means more spun tire weight, more side wall flex, and the car COG sitting higher off the ground.
For a road course car, all are a step in the wrong direction.
If you compare the Z06 tires to the ZR-1 tires, although the rims/Tire ID's are 1" larger on the ZR-1 for the brake clearances, the actual tire OD sizes is not that much larger instead.
Simply, if you want large spinners on the car, then go for it, but in regards to road course performance, your moving in the wrong direction.
As for if the concerned is about the tire to wheel wells gaps (remember to keep the tire inside the wells), then 4 corner balance lower the car instead to decrease that gap.

Melting Slicks
I'm running those sizes in the new michelin pilot super sports.
Yes it's the wrong direction for ultimate performance but it has a great
Look to it. Just be careful if your wheels are a aggressive offset.
But the ride is smooth and no lights on the dash as the front to rear ratio is the same.

20"s aren't recommended either I'm just stating as I have both set ups
That if staying with 20" and you aren't overly concerned with the last bit of
Performance that the rude as well as ground clearance is better.
The performance is the same as running a 28" in terms of power loss.

Its a GS vert so its all about the ride. No track or race conditions, just cruising. I want to run the oem 19/20 cup wheels so i think it should be ok, could you send me or post a few pics of you current set up on your car? I might use the 285/35 vs the 275/35 if there is clearance, I just dont want to rub.
thanks, mike
