Yes, picking it up Thursday. Then I have all weekend to look it over and figure out what to do.

Got it home and it is pretty tough as I expected. No surprises at all. Looks like a flip of a coin will decide on weather I proceed to get it going or dismantle it for parts. Either way, it was a good purchase.

Don't part it out! That's an excellent base for someone like me that wants to paint it their own special colour and put in their own special interior colour. I'm thinking of buying a car just like that and putting in a 78 pace car interior and painting it purple. If you don't want to fix it put it up for sale again and let someone that wants to fix it up buy it.

I am thinking a 75-77 would work for a purple car much better that a chrome bumper car. Just a thought.

Not for me it wouldn't. It very much depends on the individual.

If you decide to part it out I know of a few folks here on the forum that would be interested in many of the items that this donor car currently has. If you do decide to part it let me be the first to raise my hand and say manual transmission setup would be of interest to me. Let us know what you do and best of success with the decision.

Just an update: It runs! This is getting better by the day. Thanks for all the interest and PM's. It's quite fun getting this old neglected '70 awakened after a 20 year slumber!

Still working on it and adding parts and getting things to move again. Thinking I may pass this one on to a restorer in a few months. I bought it with the intention of parting it out. Can't do it. Way too nice for that.

Update: New brakes all the way around, Used, but nice Chrome Hooker side mounts are on, Gas tank & sending unit replaced. This will make a nice project for someone in the spring. All I want to do is make it run, move and stop. 2 out of 3 are done. Glad I saved it. NICE car.

I wonder who the lucky restorer will be?

Mr. B. I think you might be proud of me on this one. Taking my sweet time and bringing the 'ol girl back to life. The engine is a 350/370 LT-1 from what I can tell. I am not touching the outside of it.
