First off if it were a 'gay scheme' it'd likely be you know..fashionable.
Not something some 60 year old fat white guy came up with when left to his own devices
I think the interior on the C7 base car is better in terms of scheme as well though.

I guess I'm one of the few that like it. I like the combination of black leather and Kalahari leather better than all Kalahari. There's too much color in the 3LT for my taste.
And that is the only difference between the 3LT and the 3LZ -- whether the door panels, dash etc. are black leather or colored leather. That this would be a deal-breaker for so many really surprises me.

Real simple, buy the Z06 with the 3LZ and then replace the dash and door panels with the Stingray versions, they should be easy enough to get OEM. Seats and carpet are going to be the same in both cars. You can even pay your dealer to do the swap for you, then sell the pieces you took out on the forum here, someone will be happy to buy them from you.

I think his interior looks fantastic, on the level of the GTS Viper.

No, this is not a complaint about a world beating bargin super car. It is a comparison of interiors, for that is very important to me. When I owned any of my 10 Vettes, (including 2 Z06's) Ferraris, Porsches, and so on,
my priority was not owning a would beating super, bargin or not. Yes, the C7 Z is a world beating car, no matther what it is priced at. (I would not consider it a "supercar".) I care about the total package, and the interior is a big part of that. There are those folks that will buy a stripped down Z06 and be quite happy, and that is very cool with me.

Oh, and if performance is not that big a deal, look at the Aston Martin and Bentley. The former is perhaps the most elegant car on the road today. I really think you are looking at the Z06 for the wrong reasons. It's about performance first, bargain second and luxury last. Just because it's the most expensive Vette presently doesn't mean it fulfills what is sounds like is your mission.

I don't understand why you don't just get a 458 Spider or 911 Turbo Cab. You can get those so pimped with leather it's absurd and if i am not mistaken, with any color interior or exterior you like. Easy choice for a man of your means and the 458 will probably depreciate less.

No need to be rude. Just trying to help. You seem to have a need to look at the door trim and nothing wrong with that, but frankly I focus on the road or track and for a driver-centric car nothing else should matter. My lovely wife and I happen to own a Vantage V8 and 997 Turbo and their mission is vastly different from my Z06. I honestly think the Vantage is the best combination of beauty without too much flash and a gorgeous interior and exterior of all of our cars. It exudes class, sexiness and sophistication, makes my Z06 car look Duck Dynasty.
You came across whiny over your complaint so I thought I'd give you some cheese to go with the whine . Get a thicker skin! It's all good!

That is a statement that reeks of ignorance. I have done some marketing and customer relations work for Porsche and Ferrari, and the large majority of their customers are extremely concerned about the quality and layout of the interior. One individual just took delivery of a Porsche 991 Turbo S Cabrolet that he specked out, $215,000.00 sticker with a fabulous interior. Sure there are Porsches and Ferraris such as the GT3's, Scuds, Stradales and Specialies that are, for the most part built for the track and have spartan interiors. However, the large majority of Z06's, (except for many Z07's) will never see the track, and even many that do alos spend much time on the street. Mine will never see the track. Because of this it is paramount that The Z06 offer an interior that is just as nicely done as the Sting Ray. If I am going to spend 100K on a 3LZ Z06 convertible, it damn well better have a top notch interior.
