Oops! Forgot to put the F/S in front of it. Administrator, can you move over to parts for sale?

Redbird, you say it is a non-DOT tire, but isn't that a DOT number showing at the bottom of your second picture?

Any idea of the age of the tire?

No, that number defines the manufacturing date in a cryptic code. A DOT tire will have the letters D.O.T. molded separately just prior to that number.

FYI, the Jet Air brand tire is not reproduced. If you find one in this size, it is an original tire. Perfect for the spare on a judged 62, 63 or 64 Corvette (wheel needs to be 5.5" wide for a 63 or 64), but I would not want to put many miles on it if you need to use it on the road to get home in an emergency.

I have one of these in the shed from my 64. Guess I should dig it out and clean it up

Me, too! I still have the original spare, never dismounted from the original wheel, in the carrier of my '64. Used it 2 or 3 times by 1980, haven't trusted it since.
