Yep. So why did they pull the 3.7 from the website? Got to be a reason.

Wild guess just to **** off A8 owners: A8 proven to be extremely unreliable so they stop selling it and go back to the A6. Now 0-60 is 3.8 again

Did anyone ever hear the answer to this one? Magazine tests aside, the Corvette website used to market the A8 as 0-60 in 3.7 and the M7 as 3.8. Is this an official time change from Chevy?

Not me, I've never gotten lower than 4.7.

But

It is summer in Texas so its 100 degrees right now.
I am not getting the best launch because the tires start to slip and the engine is cutting power to stop the slip.

I am going to work on properly launching the car because I feel most of my time is getting wasted by TC when my tires begin to slip.

Hoping to come back this weekend and report something around 4.0.

Yeah- I tried a 0-60 run as well, and my tires just spun......ugh!!!
TC kept kicking in.

What's the best way to get the times quoted by Chevy?
Does it make sense to try it with the TC turned off?

I wouldn't go according to GMs numbers. Find a real world test done by one of the major magazines they will be more real world and truthful.

Not looking for real world numbers, but rather trying to find out if GM has pulled their marketed numbers for some reason. More of a marketing question than anything.

Not nearly as many A8 Failures as engine failures. Bad A8 software? Yes but not near the total numbers of engine failures.

To Flying 22,

I did 3.8 in non Z-51, manual transmission.
I was happy with myself. But, I've been launching sticks for 40 years.

Cheers, Caholo

Which makes you wonder why the 0-60 times should be any different between the 2. Only when they eliminate as many variables as possible and do a round-robin with the A6/A8/M7 in Z51/Non Z51 will we have the facts.

In an earlier post there was a ? on A6 Non Z51. Chevy "claim" on A6 non-Z51 was 4.0. Same as claim on A8 Non Z51.
