Frankly when I had two cars girls would talk to me sometimes at stop lights in the other mundane car but never the vette. And as far as carshow "babes" [not the paid ones]....does anyone really want those girls?

Pulled into a gas station last week and great looking blonde asked if I would take her home. I chuckled. Good thing my wife was not there or she wouldn't let me drive it anymore.

Most days I barely get the front wheels out of the gate and someone on the sidewalk is already shouting bewildered. The other day I got:
"I drive your car in the videogame!"
My all time favorite is from a guy on a bicycle who pulled up in front of me in the middle of the intersection to say:
"I don't even like cars. But if I were to get a car, this would be the one that would represent me."

Spoken from a guy that can't afford a new Z06.... Get real!!! Of course we want attention you dumb a$$. Do you think we spend $100,000 on a car and don't want anyone to notice it.. WOW!!!
I'm sure most of us on here either work hard or have worked hard to get these cars. We deserve to show them off..

I have a new z07, 911 turbo, 67 gt500',36 ford roadster, 70 challenger 440 6pk rt/se, 61 impala conv.409/425. So yes I can afford the z07 lol. I bought the z07 strictly for performance. Quoting Caroll Shelby " to much is not enough" . I can tell u this z07 needs to be kicked up a notch and will get some mods. Looking for attention I don't have time for that weak sh**. That's what I'm talking about brainless twits that look for attention! fortunately there are track guys on here with great imput.

Had driven up to the harley shop to pickup parts that had just come in. When I came out there was a guy on a bike looking at the car. When I walked up, he looked at me and said - "Man that car is dirty...DIIRRTTYYY!!!"

Today a guy behind me at the drive thru got out of his car, walked up to my window and asked "How does one go about acquiring a car like this?" He had followed me for several blocks and I don't even think he wanted a coffee.

Sounds like the OP looks for attention in his car! That was the only drawback during my purchase. I hate the show off factor that has followed corvettes since the early 60's. My wife says anyone who owns a corvette is trying to make up for a deficiency. I have owned a few vettes and unfortunately the flash factor sometimes draws unnecessary attention.
But help me translate something that was shouted to me last week with the Z...... DUDE that switch is bad dog.......... Switch??? He was another red neck by the way.
Have any of you been taken by surprise and almost said ya your car is great too just as a reaction when they are driving a POS?

Some dude in an SUV jawed with me a few years ago about the deficiency factor with my C5. I'm with my lovely wife he with a truck load of red necks...... he says you making up for a small dick? I said size in not the issue.......my car goes and goes and goes and you dick may last 2 or 3 minutes...... he had no comeback and all his boy friends where saying that true.

Today as I got out of the car a gangster-looking type with a crooked ball cap shouted "DAAAAAAMN that is one sweet f'n ride. That **** is dirt!" At least I think he said dirt. My wife wasn't sure either. We tried looking it up on urban dictionary, but no dice.
