Red, glad to hear you're going to be getting back into a Vette. If I were to get another one, it would definitely be a Grand Sport. Hope to see you back on the forum.

Good luck and happy car hunting.

Launch control started in 2010 on manual trans;
Dry sump was on Z06 (not Z51) and ZR1 before GS coupes with manual trans;
GS coupes with manual trans also had diff cooler;
You build it motors came out in 2011;
Wixom hand built motors were for Z06, ZR1, and dry sump LS3 for the GS coupe.
Thank you. This thread was giving me a headache.

Does the convertible MT GS have the diff cooler, or just the coupe?

I could crawl under my car and look, but I'll just ask here instead.

Sorry for my misinformation. I should have researched first but I was under the impression Z51 was suspension and other goodies but more importantly had the dry sump for hard braking and cornering. I shall read up.

It's posted that I'm wrong and of corse, assuming that was part of the Z51 package. I had watched the review videos from Autoweek and Motor Trend and when they said the GS replaced the Z51 package base, I assumed it came with dry sump. My bad and beg my pard.
I'll shut up now.
I googled what year the dry sump was available for Z51 package and it brings up 2014. I'm sure it's wrong, but there it is.

The dry-sump system for the LS3 equipped C6 was introduced with the 2010 m-y, in the GS (also the first m-y of the latter).

It's actually correct. The C7 was the first time that part of the Z51 package included the dry sump engine.

If there was a good track near me and a good instructor to teach me the limits of my car, I would 100% track my car. All the good tracks are no where's near me and I'm not trailer in it across country.

If you are buying a used GS, you should probably look under the car or ask the seller to tell you about differential and trans coolers. My 13 GS convertible is an MZ6 and it has both the trans and differential coolers.

No need to ask the seller, the options sheet in the glove box will tell you (and won't lie about it).

Just checked mine and my 'vert has the KNR and KNP trans and diff coolers as well (also has the MZ6 trans).
