Highest HP with the A6?
Like the title states....
What are your HP numbers and more importatnly TQ. Anyone have a lot of dragstrip time with their boosted/ nitrous A6?
Getting some work done and wondering if anyone has any experience with the RPM upgraded trans???
With my luck, I'll blow my tranny as soon as I up my boost.
Thanks for any info!

I am wondering the same. I have seen where alot of people say the stockA6 can only handle 550-600rwhp and similar tq. But have not seen any numbers for the RPM built A6 or any definative answer on if they have put together a 6l80 tranny for our cars yet. I have heard that if you have the tranny tuned it will be able to hold more power but not sure how that will affect how it holds power but hopefully CHUCK COW or some other Tranny Tuning people will jump in on this.

Mine is a novi 2200 A6 and it has 570/560 it's went 10.5 @ 135 with a 1.7 60ft. I am interested in what upgrades we have A6 wise now also. I see no need in forging and turning up the boost if their is no real build A6 option yet.
I did hear someone say one option was to switch to an RPM Level 5 built A4 with some kind of converter switch? This allows the A4 to work in our cars. I was hoping to keep the A6 and not have to go to an A4 though !!

I havent spoken to Rodney or Todd in probably 4 months but I frequently keep in touch with Doug and Chris from ECS and they have not mentioned anything to me. The last I heard RPM had some sort of program where you can send them your A6 and they do some upgrades but they had no numbers as far as how much power the tranny can hold like they do with their A4.
Someone else mentioned a company called Rossler and said they either had a built A6 or were close to finishing one. I have been kind of out of the loop on the boards since winter so I probably do not have the latest info. Any updates would be great. Thanks

Question for you guys. When you guys **** with that power does your tranny slip or lag real bad. If not any info on how you or your tuner got that not to happen. Like if they raise the line pressure high or if theres a safety option on the cars that my tuner missed. Cause my car dont make the power your cars do and when i spray my A6 C6 it wont hold the power. With a 75 shot it holds but anything over 100 slips. I've jacked the line pressure up twice and its getting a little better. thanks

Hi Guys,
CMS has built an A6 Right now my car is the KB Twin Screw LS2. Finalizing some meth and a cam swap, should put me at a solid 650RWHP. The problems with the A6's are there arent alot of aftermarket parts. They do have a good set of raybesto's clutches but as far as upgraded hard pieces they just arent made yet. You can drill a few of the internals for better pressure, but thats about it. There was talk of a better stronger drive plate, but other then that, its a waiting game. I will post back after I take my car to the track a few times. I saw on one thread where a guy was making some really high HP, but that doesnt matter until the car is "TRACK PROVEN". Driving it on the street and spinning tires is easy. Launch it with a converter and a 1.5+ 60FT consistently then you will know how the tranny is holding up.

Mine makes 655 RWHP and 610 RWT and has had no issues.
I've tuned it for crisper shifts and quicker shifts.
That eliminates a lot of clutch slipping.
I have not taken it to the track, though.
RPM is going to do my trans, but they wanted me to hurt it first so that they could see what broke. I keep trying, but no luck so far.

Im making 607/518 through mine right now. Running a FTI 3200 stall, and had the tranny tuned for non sluggish shifts.
Tranny shifts smooth as hell, I dont launch from a dead stop though. Only seen the track one time for two passes.

Andy, I wish you were closer!
I'll have my tuner call you about some specifics about the A6 tables once my car is back up and running.
I'm sure I'll toast my tranny shortly after I take it to the track....:o That's just my luck...

Drifting
i'm making 603/518
i've only been to the track once as my original tune toasted the 4 5 6 clutch band almost instantly and the drivability was horrible
i had rpm upgrade the clutches, and now just had a 3.42 and xlr converter put in
still need to get back to livernois to get the car retuned
bout the only sucks about having this car instead of a mustang is not having a local tuner anymore
