Default R888 tires on factory rims?

Has anyone ever tried the Toyo R888 tires (305/30/19) on the factory 19x12 inch Z06 rear rims? If so, how does it look with the wide body? Does anyone have any pictures?

I am also looking for pictures. I see they make a 345/30/19 also. will this work for our cars?

I doubt the 305 would fit properly. The 345s would be better. Check the height or you may have to swap front tires also to keep the proper ratio.

They also make a 325/30-19, OEM size 888.

A 305/30-19 is generally recommended for a rim in the 10.5 to 11.5" width, not the OEM 12"

I run the R888s 295 on the front an 345 on the back on stock rims. Got an engine drag code once then it went away and never got it again. I use them on the track only. When I got the drag control warning I was testing them on the street and the active handling mode was on. As soon as I put it in competition mode it went away. I have found them to be great tires on the track. No complaints.

A few pics of mine may help.

Roadrace mine all the time. Running 325s on the rear and 295s on the front and never had a problem. If you don't have the R888 yet look into the R888R. Really a nice tire! Have fun.

Tirerack only shows the R888R going to 305 for the 19". Is that correct? I want the 18/19 setup but I want at least 325 on the rear, preferably 345.

Maybe they don't carry the sizes, but you can look on the Toyo website to confirm the there are 325/30/19 and 345/30/19 sizes available.

I checked phil's tire service and a few other online vendors and can't locate them. Phil's lists them as an option, but when you click the 345 tire it says "Sorry this product is unavailable. Choose something else..."

Anyone know who sells the R888R in 325 or 345 19"

The 305-18 and 325 and 345-19's are not yet listed as available on the Toyo or Phils Tire site for the *888R's, but listed as coming.

Ah, good to know...these may be my next tire. Tread life isn't an issue for me.

Buying tires based off looks. Ugh.

My 325s out hook my 345s. I don't care if the 345s are wider, I want the best performing tire.

My understanding from Toyo is the 325 R888R will be out after the first of the year. Most of their new sizes will be out sometime then. I'll wait for them instead of the old R888.

Certainly, they make stock size 275/325s. Others are available and should not throw codes. I expect my next ones will be 295/30-18 and 345/30-19s, hopefully the new R888R's (which are not yet available but expected soon).
