Default Who's got the current record of paying the LEAST for their c5?

I know a few have gone for under 10k...I'm wondering how good of a deal someone really found. No shame here...show off your high miles/salvage title...whatever...but show off your deal!

A little info how you found the deal and what you paid!

Reason I am starting this thread is I am thinking of buying a daily to supplement my Z06. I want a daily I can HPDE, do whatever I want to. I know of someone who spent 6800 on a C5 that was wrecked but cleanly repaired. I wanna see who found what deals!

Post them up!

Records in order

1st. SchafferC5 2500.00 right place right time he said
2nd. Stingray 47 traded for a 4wheeler straight up
3rd. One-ate-6ix 99 black FRC, clean title, 130,000k $7,700
4th. Ohyoufan 9k through family
4th. Firechief 1997 High mileage (186,445) $9,000
5th. Anthraxmm 9300

I spent a total of 17k on mine, trade was worth 7, financed 10, paying $163/month on it though with 2.49% fixed rate APR. Car has 87k miles and is in good shape, fresh repaint on it too.

I paid $9,000 for my perfect, 72,000 mile, clean title, fully loaded 1999 FRC. The only issue it had at the time was a broken glove box latch lol. This was definitely a family deal though. The family member I had bought it from originally purchased it for $13,000. I like it a whole lot better than my ws6 I had to sell to purchase this car.

16K for a 2001 Z06 with 67k on it. Only financed 7K so with the 2.4% I only pay $153 a month. I pay 2 bucks a month less in insurance with double the coverage of my old TA too.

Very interesting. Pics of car? What was the value of your 4wheeler?

2500! This sounds sketchy...you cant find a non running c4 for 2500 almost. Is this a legit deal or a family giveaway?

I don't appear to be a record holder, just someone not bothered by high millage.

if I had the cash at the time mine would have been 12k for a 2000 base model with 125k on it. unfortunately I was seriously upside down on my trade in so I paid more than that for it.

Here are a couple good deals in my area

http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/3723471788.html
http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/3751906420.html

There was also a dark green 2001 with 160k miles for $8500 that sold it looks like.

Ive seen a couple for $7k last year.

Now if i can only find a 6 speed for that much, I'd have jumped on it by now. Oh well, Ill be patient.

Heres a nice FRC for a good price

You can easily clear this up. A bill of sale or something ? Or is that what you told the DOT you paid to save on taxes ? If it is legit , the sellers got rocks for brains.
