That's interesting. I wish we knew who it was and they were some one off pre-production for C5's that someone was going to offer or if they were C7 take offs.

Those wheels look pretty good, but wonder what the offsets are on them. Hard to really tell just how the fit in the fender wells at that angle.

I was over on the C7 forum about a week or so ago looking at the classifieds for the heck of it and saw tons of folks selling their C7 wheels, all different finishes. Since I'm in the market very soon for new rims and tires for my C5, I decided to look into the offsets.

Base Model:
Front Wheels: 18" x 8.5" +56mm
Rear Wheels: 19" x 10" +79mm

With Z51 Package:
Front Wheels: 19" x 8.5" +56mm
Rear Wheels: 20" x 10" +79mm

I think the fronts are fine, but the rears would need spacers to keep from rubbing and tucking too much...at least according to http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel...ulator#Results

This is a bump for a slightly old thread (and I'm really glad I searched before starting a new thread) but I was wondering if any C5 owners here have explored this more now that C7s are becoming more common.

I have the wagon wheels on my C5 (powder coated black) and eventually I would like to upgrade to a more modern looking Corvette wheel. I've been looking at C6 pull-offs as they're plentiful but I've noticed on my local Craigslist that many C7 owners that have non-Z51s C7s are offloading their wheels with either very low mileage or straight pull-offs after purchase. I like that there are various "options" for the C7 wheels in terms of finish which opens up possibilities. They're also quite affordable on the second market and I've seen prices anywhere from $800 up to $2,000 for C7 wheels and tires.

It seems like these would be great wheels to explore for swapping to a C5. Have any forum members ran or are running a C7 wheel and tire on their C5 like the OP posted an image of? Do we have any more information on what is needed to properly run the wheels on a C5 (like spacers for the rear or similar)?

the c7 guys say they fit the c6 and the c6 wheels fit the c5 is what ive been learning, soooo Im assuming the c7 wheels would fit c5 possibly with rear spacer

I think they look ok, but there are many other options that look better for around the same price.

The ones on the picture and even the double spokes don't do much for me. But the wheels that we have seen on the few C7Z06 are totally different beer. I would love to find a pull outs from a C7Z06 and put on my car.

I know this is an old thread... But it is one of the ones that inspired me to put OEM C7 Z51 rims on my C5.

They make a chrome version for those who like to clean wheels a lot. Of course if you don't like the double spoke design there is no hope for these wheels sexing your brain.

I like the gloss black because I can let the brake dust layer up and everyone thinks I have matte black wheels instead of thinking my rims are crazy dirty and I am too lazy to scrub them.

Your garage is pretty sweet and your C5 is in the best Corvette color ever made!

I was wondering if you use any spacer for the z51 wheels. Are they OEM? I want to do the same. Very nice looking.

Yes OEM C7 Z51 wheels and tires. Used Doug Rippie Motorsports aluminum 5/8" spacer and replaced the stock studs with 2.5" ARP chrome molly racing studs and gorilla track style lugs.

Did you use the ARP studs and spacer for rear only or for the front too.

Rear only. The fronts fit perfectly with no changes.

My car was originally slammed to the ground and was raised back up to near the stock height to make sure these clear everything. I also wanted to have something called suspension travel. Was tired of shaving bits of my Corvette off when going over aggressive speed bumps.
